Finally....

Ok, so I have put up some pictures of our house. It is only a few and only the living room and kitchen. Those are the only places I have looking decent. The other rooms are still too messy to show. These are of the living room, hall and kitchen. Don't you love the berries on the kitchen wall? Those are going to go. Everything is going to be painted. Our carpet is only about 3 weeks old. Our entertainment center that we had at the other house pretty much fell apart when we took it down so we are going to buy a new one eventually. We still don't have any sort of cover on our windows in the kitchen. Every night we feel like we are being watched. I want to put shutters in there but cant right now so we are just dealing with it until we can get something up.

So, sorry thats all I have for now. As soon as I clean up a little more I will post again.

What's new?

Hi all. I haven't updated for a while. So, we are getting settled in the new house. I would like to start painting. I may be getting a second job here soon where I would travel on weekends once a month, so if that happens we can get our hardwoods done soon. I would really like to start painting as soon as possible. I have taken a few pictures of the inside, I am slacking because in order to put pictures up I have to clean. I promise I will get them up in the next few days. As far as little J, he is on the move like crazy. The poor little guy is all banged up. Bruises galore! He is getting more daring and lets go of what he is hanging onto when he is standing. He is sure getting a cute personality though. He loves peek-a-boo and when grandma Tammy sings Farmer in the Dell. Nothing is new with Brian and I. We are still just working and trying to get a day together here and there. We just celebrated our 3rd anniversary. We should just call buying the house our anniversary present, but we did go to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Z Tejas. We are working on getting a sweet jogging stroller with an Ipod hookup at Shopko, until then I have been using the regular stroller for walks and running. He likes when I run and he goes fast. He gets all excited. He is such a sweetheart. This is all there is for now. B-bye

We're home!

Well we are all moved in, kind of. We officially moved on Saturday the 1st. It took so long that we only got a few boxes unpacked and Brian got the game room set up. Thank goodness, we have one place we can escape the chaos. We spent all Sunday tearing out carpet from the living room, stairs and Jacoby's room. Brian stayed home with Jacoby on Monday in the mess and Tuesday afternoon the carpet guys are coming. Woo hoo! I will post before and after pictures. It will be fun to see what a difference nice carpet makes. Next to be improved.... the hardwoods. After the flooring is done we will have a livable house and will begin the painting segment of our home improvement project. Oh, and i will be getting a second job to support our journey.

Going..... Going.... Gone

Jacoby is crawling!!!... and climbing stairs. Wait, what? Climbing stairs? Yeah, thats what I thought too when I saw him doing it. This kid is going to give me a heart attack! How in the world am I supposed to get ready for a yard sale this weekend when my little 8 month old decides he wants to go hang out upstairs.... and he will get there himself! On a different note, the yard sale is this Saturday. I have a lot to do! Then official moving day is August 1st. We are going to try to get the flooring people out to do an estimate the day after we close. What a stressful part of life. Well here are some pictures of my little guy growing up.

There's No Place Like Home

Brian, Jacoby and I will have a new house the end of this month, well new to us anyway. We found a cute little house near where we are now. Its about 3500 south and 1100 east. Its real close to Brickyard and that way we are still close to our favorite Sugarhouse Park! The thing we liked most about it is the location and the size. They recently added on an additional 1300 square feet and its mainly one floor except the bedrooms upstairs, which both have their own bathrooms. Soon after moving in we would like to replace the carpet and refinish the hardwood floors in the living room which, right now, is covered in ugly carpet. It is pretty much hospital white right now so we get to pick out our fun colors and get to work. It has a nice backyard with big trees and a really big tree in front. The neighborhood seems nice, its real quiet and we know there is a little girl next door already so Jacoby will at least have once close kid to play with. We are excited and scared, doubling your monthly housing cost is a scary thought, but we are willing to sacrifice. I will post pictures soon and keep you all updated.

Family Firsts

Jacoby had quite a day today. He went swimming in his little pool we bought him for the first time. He wasn't sure about it in the beginning but after a food break he was pretty excited. We lathered him up in sunscreen and sat him in the sun while the local paparazzi (me, steph and gabe) clicked away with cameras and video. After a much needed bath and nap, we were off to the last 4th at Sugarhouse park with aunt Steph and cousin Gabe. They kept his interest for about 5 minutes then the phone became the entertainment for the evening. The finale caught his eye though. We will miss our Sugarhouse tradition.

As for me and Brian, it is a good possibility we
may be getting our first house. We found a cute little home near our house now. I shouldn't say little because the main reason we are getting it is because it is a really good size. It will fit our future growing family well. It has a few good projects in it and that is what we are excited about. We plan to rip up the carpet and sand the hardwoods below and paint. We eventually want to stain the kitchen cupboards and put in new counter tops. The upstairs needs new carpet as well. We understand this will cost a pretty penny but we are very willing to sacrifice. We will find out Tuesday what they counter our offer with. Hopefully it will still be in our price range. I will keep you all updated.
