Its been a while

Well sorry it has been so long since I last posted something. Life has been busy. Some news on Jacoby. He is walking!! Also, he waves b-bye! He is getting so big so fast. He is having his birthday party next weekend. We have invited both sides of the family and some friends. I cant believe already a year ago I was taking a walk on Halloween night hoping he would decide to come meet us. Now here we are again. So, what else is new? I am still waiting to hear on a second job that I am trying to get as a personal nurse. It would give us enough money to save up for some much needed home improvement and vacations. Brian is just working and helping me out with Jacoby. Our schedules tend to overlap a bit so we try to get some family time in here and there. Who's idea was it to have to work for a living. Not cool guys. Jacoby is really sick right now. He has had this horrible cold for about a week. We have been putting him in our bed at night while he is sick with the humidifier. We thought it was working but his cold is still hanging around. Poor guy. Here are a few pics of the last month or so.

Long Nights

Well the move has totally messed up Jacoby's sleeping schedule. I think he is terrified of his room. He never slept in our bed at the old place except for when he was about 2 months old. He would sleep in his crib all night until about 6:30 in the morning. Now he actually has a bedtime but he only stays in his crib until about 1am then I have to put him in bed with us, which Brian does not like one little bit. He doesn't want to have a 6 year old sleeping with us, and I agree. I want so bad for him to get back in his crib but the poor thing just won't lay down and go to sleep. One night I was determined. I actually had to work the next day but I thought I would give it a try. So, I put him in his bed and sat on the floor next to him, trying to calm him. He was screaming but more of just a boycotting scream LOL. He knew if he screamed long enough mom would come to the rescue. I finally layed down and just let him scream. It doesn't bother me as much if I am in the room with him, but leaving the room and closing the door breaks my heart. I made it about 1 1/2 hours and then I put him in bed with me. That little stinker knew mom would give in. Hey, it was 1:30 in the morning. I only got about 3 hours of sleep. I couldn't just lay on the floor all night. Well then when I actually had a few days off, Brian thought it would be a good time to try again. The poor little guy got a cold and I couldn't let him cry all night. He needed some loves. So, again to mom and dad's bed. I love sleeping with him and cuddling him, but at the same time whenever I hear a noise I think that he fell off the bed. The other night he tossed and turned so much and he hit his head on the headboard. I woke up in a panic, but he only cried for maybe 3 seconds and fell back asleep. We will try again for next week. Why does this have to be so hard! I know he won't remember it, but it is such a sad thing for me. We had him good to go at the other place, then the stupid move messed it all up.

New this past couple days, he is starting to miss mom when I leave the room. I don't know if it is the cold or separation anxiety but I will literally turn the corner and he will start crying. He has to be able to see me or he freaks. Tonight when I left for work, he actually cried and I peeked through the window and he was staring at the door. :( My poor little guy. I wanted to run in and give him more loves. I hope this phase passes soon. I can't handle it.

Happy Baby

I just thought I would put up some pictures of my adorable boy. He is so happy and I love him so much! He makes Brian and I so happy. He is the best thing that ever happened to us! We love you little J!!

Finally....

Ok, so I have put up some pictures of our house. It is only a few and only the living room and kitchen. Those are the only places I have looking decent. The other rooms are still too messy to show. These are of the living room, hall and kitchen. Don't you love the berries on the kitchen wall? Those are going to go. Everything is going to be painted. Our carpet is only about 3 weeks old. Our entertainment center that we had at the other house pretty much fell apart when we took it down so we are going to buy a new one eventually. We still don't have any sort of cover on our windows in the kitchen. Every night we feel like we are being watched. I want to put shutters in there but cant right now so we are just dealing with it until we can get something up.

So, sorry thats all I have for now. As soon as I clean up a little more I will post again.

What's new?

Hi all. I haven't updated for a while. So, we are getting settled in the new house. I would like to start painting. I may be getting a second job here soon where I would travel on weekends once a month, so if that happens we can get our hardwoods done soon. I would really like to start painting as soon as possible. I have taken a few pictures of the inside, I am slacking because in order to put pictures up I have to clean. I promise I will get them up in the next few days. As far as little J, he is on the move like crazy. The poor little guy is all banged up. Bruises galore! He is getting more daring and lets go of what he is hanging onto when he is standing. He is sure getting a cute personality though. He loves peek-a-boo and when grandma Tammy sings Farmer in the Dell. Nothing is new with Brian and I. We are still just working and trying to get a day together here and there. We just celebrated our 3rd anniversary. We should just call buying the house our anniversary present, but we did go to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Z Tejas. We are working on getting a sweet jogging stroller with an Ipod hookup at Shopko, until then I have been using the regular stroller for walks and running. He likes when I run and he goes fast. He gets all excited. He is such a sweetheart. This is all there is for now. B-bye

We're home!

Well we are all moved in, kind of. We officially moved on Saturday the 1st. It took so long that we only got a few boxes unpacked and Brian got the game room set up. Thank goodness, we have one place we can escape the chaos. We spent all Sunday tearing out carpet from the living room, stairs and Jacoby's room. Brian stayed home with Jacoby on Monday in the mess and Tuesday afternoon the carpet guys are coming. Woo hoo! I will post before and after pictures. It will be fun to see what a difference nice carpet makes. Next to be improved.... the hardwoods. After the flooring is done we will have a livable house and will begin the painting segment of our home improvement project. Oh, and i will be getting a second job to support our journey.

Going..... Going.... Gone

Jacoby is crawling!!!... and climbing stairs. Wait, what? Climbing stairs? Yeah, thats what I thought too when I saw him doing it. This kid is going to give me a heart attack! How in the world am I supposed to get ready for a yard sale this weekend when my little 8 month old decides he wants to go hang out upstairs.... and he will get there himself! On a different note, the yard sale is this Saturday. I have a lot to do! Then official moving day is August 1st. We are going to try to get the flooring people out to do an estimate the day after we close. What a stressful part of life. Well here are some pictures of my little guy growing up.
